Joey, the Congo African Grey, whose story is featured here has already been making incredible progress, as you can see from Grant's recent picture. Joey has stopped mutilating his tail feathers, has grown in a beautiful red tail and is looking much happier and livelier. Well done, Joey!

Another good news story is that of Goldie, the Umbrella cockatoo, whose story is featured here. You may remember that Goldie came to the refuge because her human mom developed hypersensitivity pneumonitis (a serious lung allergy). She had been isolated in her home for a long time because of this, and had been chewing her feathers badly. Well, look at her now!
